The short version
- Your files are never uploaded. Every tool runs inside your browser, on your device.
- No accounts. We don’t ask for your name or email to use the tools.
- No ads, no third-party trackers, no cookies on the website.
- Your browser downloads our engine files and, only if you agree, open AI models from the Hugging Face CDN (and text-recognition language packs from jsDelivr).

Your files
When you add a video, audio file, image or subtitle to a tool, your browser opens it locally and processes it in memory using web technologies such as WebAssembly, WebCodecs, WebGPU and the Web Audio API. The result is created in your browser and saved through your browser’s normal download.
- We never receive your files, their names, their contents or their metadata (such as EXIF or location data).
- There is no server-side processing. Once a tool has loaded, it keeps working if you disconnect from the internet.
- When you send a result to another tool (“Open in another tool”, or dropping a file on the home page), the file is passed through your browser’s IndexedDB storage on your device. It is deleted as soon as the next tool reads it, and expires after 30 minutes either way.
What your browser downloads
Using ProMedia means your browser requests some files. None of these requests contain your media.
- The website (pages, styles, scripts, fonts and images) from our server.
- Processing engines from our server, when a tool needs one — for example the FFmpeg engine (about 31 MB) or the ONNX Runtime used by AI tools. They are cached so this happens once.
- AI models, only inside AI tools and only after you confirm the download (we show the size first). These open-source model files are downloaded directly from the Hugging Face CDN (huggingface.co). As with any web request, Hugging Face receives your IP address and the name of the file requested — never your media. Their privacy policy applies to that request.
- Text-recognition language packs, only in Image to Text and only after you confirm: the Tesseract language data (about 0.7–3 MB per language) comes from the jsDelivr CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net), which likewise sees only your IP address and the file requested — never your images.
- Browser features. If you translate subtitles in Chrome, the browser’s built-in Translator may download a language pack from Google the first time. The translation itself runs on your device.
Storage on your device
ProMedia stores a few things in your browser so it loads fast and works offline. They stay on your device; we cannot read them.

You can remove all of it at any time from your browser’s site settings (“Clear site data”).
Server logs
Like almost every website, our web server records basic access logs: the IP address, time, requested page or file, browser user agent and referring page. We use them only to keep the service secure and working (for example, to stop abuse and fix errors). They are kept only as long as needed for that purpose, are never sold or shared for advertising, and never contain your files.
Cookies & analytics
The website does not set cookies, shows no ads and loads no third-party analytics or tracking scripts. We never measure what you do with your media.
The Android app
ProMedia for Android is a separate product distributed through Google Play. It processes media on your phone, but it contains ads and in-app purchases, so its data practices are described in its own listing and privacy policy on Google Play.
Your rights
Because ProMedia does not collect personal data beyond short-lived server logs, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. You can still contact us with any privacy request — under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA or similar laws — and we will respond. ProMedia is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
