Free Media Utilities

Turn photos into a PDF, inspect media info, calculate bitrate, play MKV files and pick colours. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

Turn photos into one PDF

JPG to PDF combines photos and scans into a single PDF in the order you choose, on A4 or Letter pages or pages cut to each image, with optional margins. PNG to PDF keeps screenshots and diagrams lossless, and HEIC to PDF takes iPhone photos directly. Receipts and ID scans never leave your device.

Check what is inside a media file

Drop any video, audio file or image into media info online to see its container, codecs, bitrate, frame rate, resolution, rotation, HDR and every track. It also warns when the extension lies, such as a WebM renamed to .mp4. For photos, the EXIF viewer shows camera settings and GPS, and the BPM finder measures a song’s tempo.

Calculate video file size and bitrate

The video bitrate calculator solves for whichever value you are missing: file size, bitrate or duration. It counts 1 MB as 1,048,576 bytes, as apps and upload limits do, adds about 1% for the container, and lists which upload limits the result fits. Some answers it gives:

Example results from the video size and bitrate calculator
QuestionInputsAnswer
How big will it be?1 min, 5 Mbps video, 128 kbps audio37.0 MB
How big will it be?10 min, 2.5 Mbps video, 128 kbps audio190 MB
What bitrate fits 25 MB (Gmail)?2 min with 128 kbps audio1.53 Mbps video, 4% under the limit
How long fits in 20 MB (Discord)?1 Mbps video, 128 kbps audio2 min 27 s

Play MKV, AVI and other files in the browser

The online video player plays files your browser cannot open on its own. MKV and TS are re-wrapped on the fly without re-encoding, older codecs are converted for playback, and SRT, VTT or ASS subtitles can be added as tracks. To keep a file that plays everywhere, convert it once with MKV to MP4.

Pull a color palette from an image

Need the colors of a logo, photo or screenshot? Color palette from image finds 3 to 12 dominant colors and gives them as HEX codes, RGB values or ready-to-paste CSS variables, which helps when you match a brand color or build a website theme from a photo.

Media utilities FAQ

What codec is my video?

Drop it into media info. It reads the file header in your browser and lists the video codec (for example H.264, HEVC, VP9 or AV1), the audio codec, bitrate and resolution, without uploading or playing the file.

How do I calculate video file size?

Multiply the total bitrate by the duration: (video kbps + audio kbps) × seconds ÷ 8 gives kilobytes, plus about 1% for the container. The video bitrate calculator does this for you and can also work backwards from a size limit to the bitrate you need.

How do I play MKV files in a browser?

Open the online video player and drop the MKV. If the video inside is H.264 or another codec your browser supports, it is re-wrapped on the fly and plays at full quality; other codecs are converted first, which takes longer.

How do I convert JPG to PDF?

Open JPG to PDF, drop your photos, drag them into order and pick a page size and margin. Press the button and one PDF downloads. Every page is built in your browser, which matters for passports, payslips and other private scans.
