Loop Video – Repeat a Clip N Times or to a Set Length
Loop video clips into one longer file: repeat a clip 2 to 20 times, or keep repeating it until it reaches a total length you type in seconds. The compressed frames are copied again with new timestamps instead of being re-encoded, so looping is quick and the picture stays identical. It runs in your browser, with no upload and no watermark.

Batch-friendly: add many files and they are processed one after another — if one fails, the rest still finish.
How it runs
- Hardware video engine
- Video is decoded and encoded by your device’s media hardware through WebCodecs — usually several times faster than real time.
- FFmpeg (when needed)
- Older formats and a few filters use FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. It downloads once (about 31 MB) the first time it is needed and is cached for offline use.
How long and how big will the looped video be?
Length and file size both grow in step with the number of loops, because every loop is a copy of the same data. The example is a 10-second clip of 8 MB.
| Setting | Loops | Result length | Result size |
|---|---|---|---|
| Repeat 3× (default) | 3 | 30 s | About 24 MB |
| Repeat 10× | 10 | 1:40 | About 80 MB |
| To a length: 60 s | 6 | 1:00 | About 48 MB |
| To a length: 45 s | 4 and a half | 0:45 | About 36 MB |
| To a length: 3,600 s (1 hour) | 360 | 1:00:00 | About 2.9 GB |
What is a loop video?
A loop video is a clip that repeats, either in a player set to repeat or as one longer file with the clip copied several times. This video looper makes the second kind, which works everywhere: in uploads, slideshows, presentations, video calls and editors, none of which have to support a repeat setting.
Typical uses are background visuals for a stream or a music track, a short animation stretched to fill a song, a product shot that has to run for a minute on a screen, and memes. Clips whose last frame matches the first repeat without a visible join; others show a jump at each seam.
Does looping a video reduce quality?
No. Looping copies the compressed video and audio packets and only shifts their timestamps, so every repeat is bit-for-bit the original. That also makes it fast: an hour-long loop takes about as long as writing the file.
Two cases need one conversion first, and the result card says so. MP4 clips cut with an instant trim can hide a few lead-in frames, which would flash at every seam, so they are rebuilt once. Older formats such as AVI or WMV are converted once with FFmpeg. After that, the repeats themselves are still plain copies.
Make an MP4 loop on a phone or computer
The steps are the same in Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox. On iPhone, the Photos app can only loop Live Photos (the Loop effect), not export a longer video; on Android and desktop, players such as VLC can repeat playback but do not save a longer file. Here you pick the clip, set the loops and get a real file you can upload or send.
Tips & troubleshooting
For a smooth back-and-forth loop, turn the clip into a boomerang video first, then loop the boomerang here.
Add one long song over the looped visuals with Add Music to Video; its own loop option repeats short music too.
Looping a GIF? Convert it with GIF to MP4 first, then loop the MP4 here for a longer video.
A long loop gets big. Shrink it with the video compressor before uploading.
Loop Video FAQ
How do I loop a video 10 times?
Choose Number of times, drag Repeat to 10× and press Loop. A 15-second clip becomes a 2:30 video. The frames are copied, not re-encoded.
How do I make a video loop forever?
A video file cannot repeat forever on its own; endless repeat is a player setting. To get close, choose To a length and type a long total, for example 3600 for an hour. The clip is repeated until the file reaches that length.
How do I loop a video to make it longer?
Choose To a length and type the total length in seconds. ProMedia repeats the clip as many times as fit, and stops the last repeat part-way if needed, so the result matches your length.
How do I make a loop video for TikTok or Instagram?
Both apps replay short videos automatically, so a single clip already loops in the feed. Loop it here when you want the clip to repeat a set number of times before it restarts, or to stretch a very short clip into a longer post.
Does a looped video keep its sound?
Yes. The audio repeats with the picture. If the clip’s audio format is not allowed in the output file, it is converted once and then repeated; the video is still copied.
Is your clip uploaded anywhere?
No. Your clip is processed by your own browser on your own device. There is no server that receives files, so nothing is uploaded, stored or shared. You can even switch to airplane mode once the page has loaded.
