Remove Logo from Video (Logos & Date Stamps)
Remove logo from video footage you own: mark a fixed logo, a channel bug or the date stamp an old camcorder burned into the picture, and ProMedia fills the area in from the pixels around it on every frame. A blur option is there for marks over busy backgrounds. The video is processed in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and no new watermark is added.

Step 2: Draw a tight box around the logo, timestamp or text. Add more boxes if there are several marks.
Step 3: Keep Method on Fill from surroundings, or choose Blur for marks over detailed backgrounds.
Step 4: Press Process, then check the corrected area in the downloaded video.

Settings explained
- Method
- Fill interpolates the area from its edges and works best on small, static marks.
- Quality
- Only used when a stream has to be re-encoded. Compatible streams are copied with no quality loss.
- Faster: Smaller file, quickest export
- Balanced: Good quality at a sensible size
- Best quality: Largest file, slowest export
Formats
Batch-friendly: add many files and they are processed one after another — if one fails, the rest still finish.
How it runs
- Hardware video engine
- Video is decoded and encoded by your device’s media hardware through WebCodecs — usually several times faster than real time.
- GPU canvas
- Pixels are drawn and composited with the GPU-accelerated canvas.
- FFmpeg (when needed)
- Older formats and a few filters use FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. It downloads once (about 31 MB) the first time it is needed and is cached for offline use.
Remove, blur or crop a logo: which method to use
Filling replaces the mark with colour from its edges and looks cleanest on calm backgrounds. Blurring hides it without pretending it was never there. Cropping cuts the corner away completely but changes the frame size. Pick by what sits behind the logo.
| Method | Result | Works best when | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fill from surroundings (default) | The box is painted in from its borders and smoothed | Sky, walls, floors, dark or blurry backgrounds | Leaves a soft patch over detailed or moving scenes |
| Blur | A strong blur over the box | Busy backgrounds where a fill would look smeared | Visibly edited, but hides the mark completely |
| Crop the video | The corner with the mark is cut off | The logo sits right at the edge | The frame gets smaller and loses that strip |
| Blur part of a video | Blur, pixelation or a black box with adjustable strength | You want control over how strong the cover is | More visible than a fill |
Why does removing a watermark leave a blur?
Because the pixels behind the logo were never recorded. A filled box is an estimate built from the colours around it: on a plain wall or a clear sky that estimate is convincing, but on grass, text or a moving crowd it shows as a smooth patch. Draw the box as tight as possible, since every extra pixel is guessed too. If the patch is distracting, the blur method or a crop often looks more honest than a smudge.
Remove a date stamp or timestamp from a video
Camcorders, dashcams and security cameras often burn the date and time into a corner of the picture. Draw one box around the whole stamp; because the digits change but the position does not, the fill covers every frame. Dark or grey backgrounds behind a stamp give the cleanest result. The same approach removes a station logo you added to an old export, a channel bug on your own uploads or a caption burned into a clip you made.
Is it legal to remove a watermark from a video?
Removing marks from your own footage, or footage you have permission to edit, is fine. Removing a creator’s or platform’s watermark from someone else’s video to republish it is a different matter: watermarks often identify the owner, and stripping that information can break copyright law; in the US, for example, under 17 U.S.C. § 1202. This tool is meant for your own clips.
Tips & troubleshooting
Several marks? Draw one box per mark instead of one big box; smaller areas fill more convincingly.
Removing an old logo before adding a new one? Run this first, then place your logo with Add Watermark to Video.
Removing objects from a photo rather than a video? Remove object from photo uses AI to rebuild the area.
The video is re-encoded once; keep the original file and set Quality to Best under Advanced settings for footage you will edit again.
Remove Logo from Video FAQ
How do I remove a logo from a video for free?
Drop the video here, draw a tight box around the logo and press Process with Fill from surroundings selected. There is no charge, no account and no watermark of ours on the result.
How do I remove text from a video?
If the text stays in one place, such as a caption or a burned-in title, draw a box around it and use Fill or Blur. Moving text cannot be followed, because every box stays in the same place for the whole clip; for that, the video trimmer can cut the part with the text away.
Can I remove a watermark without losing quality?
Outside the boxes the picture is not edited, but the whole video is re-encoded once as H.264, at a quality setting a notch above plain conversions, so the difference is hard to see. AAC or Opus sound, which most videos have, is copied unchanged.
What is delogo?
Delogo is the name of the classic FFmpeg filter that hides a logo by interpolating the pixels around it. ProMedia uses the same idea in the browser, with an extra smoothing pass that avoids the streaks the plain filter can leave.
Is your video uploaded anywhere?
No. Your video is processed by your own browser on your own device. There is no server that receives files, so nothing is uploaded, stored or shared. You can even switch to airplane mode once the page has loaded.
