Slideshow Maker – Turn Photos into a Video with Music

This slideshow maker turns your photos into an MP4 video with music, smooth crossfades and gentle Ken Burns pan and zoom. Put the pictures in order, choose how long each one stays, pick 16:9, 9:16, square or 4:5, and add a song from your device. Portrait and landscape photos mix without black bars, the video has no watermark, and the photos are never uploaded.

How it runs

Hardware video engine
Video is decoded and encoded by your device’s media hardware through WebCodecs — usually several times faster than real time.
GPU canvas
Pixels are drawn and composited with the GPU-accelerated canvas.
Web Audio
Audio is processed with the browser’s built-in Web Audio engine, sample-accurate and fast.

How many photos do I need for a 3-minute slideshow?

Slideshow length = number of photos × seconds per photo; transitions overlap inside that time, so they do not add to it. For a 3-minute video (180 seconds), you need:

Photos needed for a 3-minute slideshow
Seconds per photoPhotos for 3 minutesFeels like
2 s90Fast and energetic, good for TikTok and Reels
3 s (default)60Lively, a classic photo-video pace
5 s36Relaxed; time to look at each picture
6 s30Calm; suits memorial and wedding slideshows
10 s (maximum)18Slow, for detailed photos or a speech over the music
Have a fixed song? Divide its length in seconds by the number of photos to get the time per photo, then round to the nearest half second.

Slideshow settings explained

The defaults (3 seconds, crossfade, Ken Burns on, blurred bars, 16:9) give a polished result with no tweaking. Each setting changes one thing.

Make a photo slideshow with music for a memorial, birthday or TikTok

  • Memorial or funeral: 16:9 for a TV or projector, 5 to 6 seconds per photo, Crossfade, Ken Burns on and a calm song. Blurred bars keep old portrait photos full-height without harsh black edges.
  • Birthday or wedding: 3 to 4 seconds per photo with Slide or Crossfade; order the photos by year for a then-and-now story.
  • TikTok or Reels photo slideshow: 9:16, 1 to 2 seconds per photo, Cut or Slide, music added here or in the app.
  • Instagram feed: 4:5 fills the most screen in the feed; 1:1 for a grid that looks tidy.

Make a slideshow with music on iPhone, Android or Windows 11

This pictures to video maker works in any modern browser; photos are decoded one or two at a time, so long slideshows stay light on memory.

iPhone

Photos builds automatic Memories with its own music. For your own order, timing and song, open this page in Safari, choose the pictures from Photo Library and a song from Files.

Android

In Chrome, select photos from your gallery and an MP3 from Downloads. The MP4 is saved to Downloads and shows up in your gallery.

Windows 11

Clipchamp can build slideshows on a timeline. Here you drag a folder of photos into the browser, set one duration for all of them and get the video in one step.

Tips & troubleshooting

  • Trim the song to the part you want with the MP3 cutter before adding it.

  • Want clips and photos together? Make the slideshow here, then join it with your videos using Merge Videos.

  • One picture with a song, for a podcast or music upload? MP3 to MP4 makes a video from a single image.

  • Prefer a looping animation over a video? The GIF maker turns photos into a GIF.

Slideshow Maker FAQ

Is there a free slideshow maker without a watermark?

Yes, this one. There is no watermark, no intro or outro card, no account and no length limit beyond your device’s memory. The video is rendered in your browser.

How do I make a slideshow with music for free?

Drop your photos, drag them into order, add a song under Background music and press Create. The music loops if it is shorter than the slideshow and fades out at the end.

Can I mix portrait and landscape photos?

Yes. With Blurred bars, a photo that does not match the video shape is shown whole over a soft blurred copy of itself. Choose Fill to crop photos to the frame instead.

What happens if the song is longer than the slideshow?

The song is cut to the slideshow length and faded out over the last seconds. Add more photos or raise the seconds per photo if you want the full song.

Are your photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Your photos are processed by your own browser on your own device. There is no server that receives files, so nothing is uploaded, stored or shared. You can even switch to airplane mode once the page has loaded.
