Video Color Correction – Filters & LUTs
Do video color correction in your browser: brighten a dark clip, warm up a cold one, add contrast or saturation, or apply a film look such as Cinematic, Vintage or Black & white. You can also load your own .cube LUT. A live preview shows the exact result before you export, every frame is processed on your graphics chip, and the video is never uploaded.

How to color correct a video
Step 1: Drop your video on the box above and wait for the preview frame.
Step 2: Pick a Look, or start from None and move Brightness, Contrast, Saturation and Temperature until the preview looks right.
Step 3: Optional: under Advanced settings, add a Vignette or load a 3D LUT (.cube) and set its strength.
Step 4: Press Process and download the corrected MP4.

Settings explained
- Temperature
- Negative is cooler (blue), positive warmer (orange).
- 3D LUT (.cube)
- Apply a colour grade exported from Premiere, Resolve or a LUT pack.
- Quality
- Only used when a stream has to be re-encoded. Compatible streams are copied with no quality loss.
- Faster: Smaller file, quickest export
- Balanced: Good quality at a sensible size
- Best quality: Largest file, slowest export
Formats
Batch-friendly: add many files and they are processed one after another — if one fails, the rest still finish.
How it runs
- Hardware video engine
- Video is decoded and encoded by your device’s media hardware through WebCodecs — usually several times faster than real time.
- GPU canvas
- Pixels are drawn and composited with the GPU-accelerated canvas.
The built-in looks and what they change
Each look is a starting point built from the same controls you can move yourself; your slider changes add on top of it. Pick the one closest to the mood you want, then fine-tune.
| Look | What it does | Works well on |
|---|---|---|
| Vivid | More contrast and saturation, slightly brighter | Dull phone footage, travel, food |
| Warm | Shifts white balance towards orange, a touch more colour | Cold indoor light, sunsets, portraits |
| Cool | Shifts towards blue, slightly less colour | Tech, night and winter scenes |
| Cinematic | Teal shadows and orange highlights, more contrast, less saturation, a vignette | Short films, B-roll, music videos |
| Vintage | Sepia tint, faded blacks, muted colour, vignette | Memories, throwback edits |
| Faded | Lifted blacks, softer whites, gentle colour | Lifestyle and pastel styles |
| Black & white | Removes colour and adds contrast | Portraits, drama, archival feel |
Color correction vs color grading: what is the difference?
Color correction fixes problems so the footage looks natural: exposure that is too dark, a blue or orange cast from the light, flat contrast. Color grading comes after and is creative: it gives the video a mood, such as warm nostalgia or a cold thriller look.
This video color editor covers both. Use Brightness, Contrast and Temperature to correct, then a Look or a LUT to grade. Brightness works as a curve rather than a plain lift, so dark areas open up while bright skies are not pushed into pure white.
How to apply a LUT to a video online
A LUT (look-up table) is a file that maps every input colour to an output colour. Colourists export them from DaVinci Resolve or Premiere, cameras ship them for log footage, and LUT packs sell creative looks. Open Advanced settings, choose 3D LUT (.cube), pick the file and set LUT strength; 100% applies it fully, lower values blend it with the original.
Standard Adobe .cube files work, both 3D (up to 129 points per side) and 1D, including files with custom input ranges. The sliders are applied before the LUT, which is the right order for log footage: set Brightness and Temperature so the image is balanced, then let the log-to-normal LUT do the conversion.
Brighten a dark video and other quick fixes
- Too dark: to brighten video footage, raise Brightness by 20 to 40. Shadows lift without blowing out the highlights; add a little Contrast if the picture turns grey.
- Too orange or too blue: move Temperature the opposite way: negative cools down tungsten light, positive warms up shade and screens.
- Flat and grey: raise Contrast by 10 to 20 and Saturation by 10.
- Make a video black and white: choose the Black & white look, then adjust Contrast to taste.
- Grainy after brightening: brightening also lifts sensor noise, so run Denoise Video on the result.
Color grade a video on iPhone, Android or a computer
Phone gallery editors have filters and light sliders, but no LUT support. This page works the same in Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox: the preview updates as you drag, and the export uses the same shader, so what you see is what you get. Phones handle short clips well; long 4K grades are faster on a computer with a dedicated graphics chip. The result is an H.264 MP4 with the original sound copied.
Tips & troubleshooting
Correct first, grade second: fix brightness and white balance with the sliders before you add a look or LUT.
Shaky as well as dull? Stabilize the video before grading, so the stabiliser works on the original picture.
Want the same look on photos? Photo Filters has matching adjustments for images.
Grading a green-screen shot? Key it with Remove green screen from video first, then grade the composite here.
Video Filters & Color Correction FAQ
How do I color correct a video for free?
Drop the clip here, adjust Brightness, Contrast, Saturation and Temperature while watching the preview, and press Process. There is no watermark, no account and no upload.
What is a LUT in video editing?
A LUT is a table that tells the software which colour to output for every input colour. One LUT file can turn flat log footage into normal contrast or apply a complete creative grade in one step. This tool reads .cube LUTs.
How do I apply a LUT to log video?
Load the camera maker’s log-to-Rec.709 .cube file under 3D LUT, keep strength at 100%, then use Brightness and Temperature to balance the picture; they are applied before the LUT, as in a pro grading tool.
Does color correction reduce video quality?
The video is re-encoded once as H.264, using a slightly higher quality setting than plain conversions to compensate. At Balanced the loss is hard to see; choose Best quality for footage you will edit again. The audio is copied without changes.
Is your video uploaded anywhere?
No. Your video is processed by your own browser on your own device. There is no server that receives files, so nothing is uploaded, stored or shared. You can even switch to airplane mode once the page has loaded.
