Watermark Photo Online: Add Text or a Logo
Watermark photo collections in one go: type your name or add your logo, drag it into place, set the size and opacity, or repeat it across the whole picture. The mark lands at the same relative position on every image, portrait or landscape. Nothing is uploaded, so unreleased work and client proofs never leave your device.

Formats
Batch-friendly: add many files and they are processed one after another — if one fails, the rest still finish.
How it runs
- GPU canvas
- Pixels are drawn and composited with the GPU-accelerated canvas.
- WebAssembly codecs
- Images are encoded with Squoosh-grade codecs (MozJPEG, WebP, AVIF, OxiPNG, JPEG XL). Each codec loads only when you use it.
Corner mark, centred mark or tiled watermark?
The more of the photo a watermark covers, the harder it is to remove and the more it distracts. A small corner mark is a signature, a centred mark protects the subject, and a tiled pattern is for proofs and previews you send before payment.
| Style | Settings to start with | Protection | Use it for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Corner signature | Size 12–18%, opacity 50–70%, bottom corner | Low: a crop removes it | Portfolio posts and social media, where branding matters more than protection |
| Centred mark | Size 30–50%, opacity 25–40%, over the subject | Medium | Stock previews, product photos shared with resellers |
| Tiled pattern | Repeat on, size 15–25%, opacity 20–35%, angle −30° | High: covers every part of the image | Client proofs, drafts, sensitive documents |
Text watermarks: font, colour and placement
Pick Text for a name, a © line or a website address, and choose one of five fonts: Inter, a heavy display face, serif, monospace or rounded. White text works on most photos because it gets a soft shadow that keeps it readable on light areas too; black or a brand colour suits flat, bright backgrounds.
Drag the mark where you want it on the preview. The position is stored relative to the picture, so in a batch it lands in the same spot on every photo, and it is always kept a little inside the edges so it is never cut off. Lower Opacity until it is visible without shouting.
How to add your logo to a picture
Choose Logo image and pick your logo file. A PNG or SVG with a transparent background gives the cleanest result; a JPG logo brings its rectangular background with it. Size sets the logo width as a share of the photo width, and a very tall logo is capped at 60% of the photo height so it never swamps the picture.
Keep a white version and a dark version of your logo, and use whichever contrasts with the photos you are marking. If your logo is a raster file and you need a clean vector version for print, the PNG to SVG converter can trace it.
How to make a watermark hard to remove
No visible watermark is impossible to remove: a mark in an empty corner can be cropped off, and AI fill tools such as remove objects are good at painting over small marks on plain backgrounds. What makes removal slow and visibly imperfect is covering detail. Switch on Repeat across the image, keep opacity low enough to see the photo through it, and let the pattern run over faces and textures, where a fill tool has to invent detail.
Share watermarked copies at a modest resolution too; resize them with the image resizer first, and keep full-size originals to yourself.
Should you put a watermark on your Instagram photos?
For most accounts, a small, tidy corner mark or none at all. Instagram already shows your handle with every post, and a large mark pulls the eye away from the photo itself. The places where watermarks earn their keep are previews you send to clients, photos that circulate outside the app, and work you sell. If you do watermark, keep the same font, size and corner on every post so it reads as branding.
Watermark photos on iPhone, Android or a computer
Phone photo editors can write text on one picture at a time with their markup tools, but not put the same mark on a whole batch. Open this page in Safari or Chrome instead, pick the photos, place the mark with your finger and download a ZIP. On a computer, drag a folder of photos in from File Explorer or Finder. Either way, this watermark maker puts nothing of its own on your pictures.
- Batch watermark photos of any mix of sizes and orientations in one pass.
- Animated GIFs stay animated, with the mark on every frame.
- Clean output: the watermarked copies carry no EXIF, so no camera details or GPS location are shared with them.
Tips & troubleshooting
Want a caption or title rather than protection? Add text to image is set up for big, fully opaque text, and the meme generator does outlined top and bottom captions.
Marking a video instead? Add watermark to video places text or a logo on clips.
Add the year to a © line (for example “© 2026 Your Name”), so the date of authorship is visible too.
Test the settings on your brightest and darkest photo before running a whole shoot.
For a logo with a white box around it, cut the background out first with the background remover.

How do I add my logo to a picture?
Choose Logo image, pick a PNG or SVG with a transparent background, set Size and Opacity, and drag it into position. The logo scales with each photo’s width.

A small corner mark is fine for branding, but large marks make posts look like ads. Watermarks matter most for client previews and work you sell.
Does this tool add its own watermark?
No. The only mark on your photos is the one you add. There is no account to create and no ProMedia logo on the result.
Are your photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Your photos are processed by your own browser on your own device. There is no server that receives files, so nothing is uploaded, stored or shared. You can even switch to airplane mode once the page has loaded.
