Combine Images Into One
Combine images into one picture: put two photos side by side, stack screenshots into one long image, or line up a before-and-after pair. Drag the pictures into order, set the spacing and background colour, and the photos are scaled so their edges line up. It runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and there is no limit on how many images you join.

How it runs
- GPU canvas
- Pixels are drawn and composited with the GPU-accelerated canvas.
- WebAssembly codecs
- Images are encoded with Squoosh-grade codecs (MozJPEG, WebP, AVIF, OxiPNG, JPEG XL). Each codec loads only when you use it.
Side by side or stacked: how big the result gets
Side by side, every picture is scaled to the height of the shortest one; stacked, to the width of the narrowest. Nothing is enlarged, so the result is as sharp as your smallest photo. The table shows the output for common combinations of phone photos and screenshots.
| Images | Side by side | Stacked |
|---|---|---|
| 2 landscape photos (4032×3024) | 8064×3024 | 4032×6048 |
| 1 landscape + 1 portrait photo | 6300×3024 | 3024×6300 |
| 3 phone screenshots (1179×2556) | 3537×2556 | 1179×7668 |
| 8 phone screenshots | 9432×2556 | 945×16384 (scaled to fit the limit) |
How to put two pictures side by side
Add both photos, keep Side by side and press Combine. If the pictures have different heights, the taller one is scaled down to match the shorter one, so the top and bottom edges line up. Add a few pixels of Spacing for a thin divider in the Background colour, or leave it at 0 for an edge-to-edge join.
Turn off Scale to the same height / width to keep every image at its original size. The smaller one then sits at the top, middle or bottom, as set under Align, with the background colour filling the gap.
Make a before-and-after photo
Put the “before” picture first and the “after” second, so it reads left to right. Photos taken from the same spot with the same zoom line up best; if they differ, crop both to the same ratio first with the image cropper. A spacing of 10 to 20 px in white or black makes the split obvious.
To label the halves, run the combined image through add text to image twice, once for each word, and drag each label into its corner.
Combine images into one long image
Choose Stacked to join screenshots, receipts or a long chat into a single tall picture that scrolls naturally on a phone. Every image is scaled to the width of the narrowest one, so mixing a phone and a tablet screenshot makes the tablet one smaller. Very long stacks reach the browser’s limit of about 16,000 px per side; the image combiner then scales the whole result down proportionally rather than failing, and the table above shows when that happens.

Combine images, make a collage or make a PDF?
Three tools join pictures in different ways. Pick by what you need at the end:
- One picture in a row or a column: combine images (this page), with no limit on the number of images.
- A grid or a mixed layout of 2 to 9 photos: the collage maker, with templates, borders and rounded corners.
- Several pages in one document: combine images into PDF, one picture per page.
Tips & troubleshooting
Save as PNG under Advanced settings when you combine screenshots; text stays crisper than in JPG.
For a symmetrical effect, combine a photo with a mirrored copy made with flip image.
An animated GIF is used as a still picture here. To join animations, combine them as video instead.
Huge results are slow to share. If the combined image is too big for an upload form, shrink it with the image resizer.
